Privacy policy

Privacy, plainly.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Omar Digital collects, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus law.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Omar Digital, operated by Omar Daaboul, is the controller of your personal information.

For any privacy question or request, email us. That’s the quickest way.

2. What we collect and where it comes from

  • Enquiries. When you message us on WhatsApp, call or email, we receive what you send: usually your name, business name, phone number or email, and details about your project.
  • Billing details from Stripe. When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive your name, email, billing address, what you bought and your payment and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Materials you send us. To build your website you send us things like your logo, photos, text and business details (opening hours, address, contact details). These may include personal information, such as photos of people or staff names.
  • Public business contact details. For limited business-to-business outreach, we collect business contact details that are publicly listed, such as a business email address published on a company’s own website or in a public business directory.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider processes technical request information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver, secure and maintain the website.

3. The contact form on this website

The contact form doesn’t send anything to us automatically. Your details are processed only in your browser to prepare a WhatsApp message. This site doesn’t submit them to a server, store them in a database or save them in browser storage. You choose whether to send the prepared message in WhatsApp or copy it. Once you send it, we handle it as an enquiry (see above), and WhatsApp’s privacy terms also apply.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Payment buttons open Stripe’s secure checkout, which is run by Stripe under its own privacy terms. Hosting customers manage billing in Stripe’s hosted customer portal. This website links to that portal but doesn’t run it.

5. Why we use your information, and our legal basis

  • To build and host your website and manage your plan, including taking payments, providing updates and support: performance of a contract with you, or steps you ask us to take before entering one.
  • To respond to your enquiries: our legitimate interests in answering people who contact us and running our business.
  • Limited business-to-business outreach to publicly listed business email addresses, offering our website services: our legitimate interests in promoting our business to other businesses. Every outreach message lets you opt out in one click. Once you opt out, we never contact that address for outreach again.
  • Invoices, accounting and tax records: legal obligation under Cyprus tax and accounting law.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time (see section 10).

6. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. We use these service providers to run our business, and they process information as needed to provide their services:

  • Stripe: payments, subscriptions, invoices and the customer billing portal.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery and domain names.
  • Google (Gmail / Google Workspace): email.
  • Airtable: our customer and lead records.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): messaging with you.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to tax authorities.

7. Automated software assistants

We use automated software assistants to help draft and organise our communication and records. Omar is responsible for what we send and decide. We don’t make decisions about you by automated means alone that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers process information outside the European Union, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable to that provider.

9. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 12 months.
  • Customer records and invoices: as long as Cyprus tax law requires, generally 6 years.
  • Opt-out list: kept indefinitely, only so we can honour your opt-out.
  • Your website materials: deleted within 90 days after your hosting ends, unless you ask us for a copy.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • rectification: have inaccurate information corrected;
  • erasure: have your information deleted;
  • restriction: ask us to limit how we use it;
  • object to how we use it, including objecting to outreach at any time;
  • portability: receive information you gave us in a commonly used format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

11. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Cyprus: dataprotection.gov.cy (opens in a new tab).

12. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

13. Security

We keep your information in our accounts with the service providers listed above, with access limited to Omar Digital. This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and card details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we’ll inform you and the authority as the law requires.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make important changes that affect customers, we’ll let you know.
